Poor Brenda Edwards was shocked by "Bulk Women" today (Tuesday, December 7) after a distressing accident with his eyebrows.

Confused viewers flooded Twitter with comments about Brenda’s “shiny” eyebrows, which led the producers of the ITV show to step in.

Brenda used household tools to blacken her eyebrows, but apparently she did not read the instructions and did not remove her eyebrows completely.

"Those eyebrows look like they were cut from a black pvc light strip," said a confused viewer.

Another added: "Uh Brenda...what happened to your eyebrows?"

"I hope my future is as bright and shiny as Brenda's eyebrows today," others quipped

The fourth wrote: "I am not good at beauty techniques. Are those eyebrows taped or something?"

Brenda's team members also found the whole thing interesting.

They noticed that Brenda's eyebrows were slightly different, but they didn't think it was an accident.

"Now to Brenda's eyebrows..." Ruth Langsford joked.

Ashamed Brenda gasped and said, "You are all there, no one wants to [say anything].

"Oh my God, did I go out like this all day?"

Brenda then revealed that she used the kit at home, but did not remove the sticky eyebrow guide.

She then led them to the entertainment of her co-host and people watching at home.

Ruth then ended the conversation and announced: "Okay, thank you very much for pointing out Brenda's eyebrows. The mystery is solved."

Ruth and Brenda joined Coleen Nolan and Janet Street-Porter in today's performance.

They also welcomed former permanent team member Shirley Hewson.

Shirley caused some sensation before the show aired because she hit a Christmas tree on the set, and Ruth was talking with Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield to get live links.

Ruth said, "In addition, we have prepared a real Christmas cookie for you." Shirley clutched the tree, and everyone tried not to laugh.

Holly and Phil were hysterical in the studio this morning, and Holly told Shirley to sit down with the girls.
