Ilian Tape will release Jake Muir's new album Mana in November this year.

For this album, Muir focused on the "out-of-time" music movement; the genre originated in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and was pioneered by characters such as DJ Spooky and DJ Olive. Illbient "dissolves sound by unifying hip-hop technology with ideas extracted from dubbing, jungle, environmental music, and industrial noise."

In addition to bad samples, Mana also drew lessons from drones, "the surreal fantasy history of Japanese RPGs" and European industrial brands.

It follows Muir's The Hum Of Your Veiled Voice album on Sferic.
