Actor, woodcutter and beard grower Nick Offerman has officially played Bill in HBO's upcoming adaptation of "The Last of Us."

According to "Variety", Overman played Bill because Chernobyl actor Kang O'Neill withdrew from the role due to schedule conflicts. But when a door is closed, a window will open. Now it's hard to imagine that the grumpy character of the naughty dog's zombie apocalypse was not portrayed by Offerman.

Overman’s most famous work is the role of Ron Swanson in the NBC simulated sitcom "Parks and Recreation". This role is the perfect audition tape for Bill. In the seven seasons of this Emmy-nominated show, Offerman's dry humor and majestic demeanor made it easy for him to play Joel's stingy zombie apocalypse partner. Overman joined the ranks of other Hollywood actors, such as Pedro Pascal of The Mandalorian and Bella Ramsey of Game of Thrones, who will play Joel and Ellie.
